The Benefits of Home Interior Trade Shows

If you are planning a grand design, upgrading your abode, getting stuck in to that extension, thinking about undertaking a home renovation or new build project then home interior trade shows are just for you.

These treasure troves of inspiration are both hugely informative and super exciting. Full of the latest ideas as well as a wealth of tried and trusted products, they will get your creative juices flowing and are a must for home design enthusiasts everywhere. Whether you are a homeowner, interior designer, architect or builder, they are well worth a visit.

We predominantly attend 2 home interior trade shows each year – The Homebuilding & Renovation Show at the Birmingham NEC In March and Build It Live in Bicester in June and we have also attended Build It Live in Kent. They are all brilliant shows. These really are home interior trade shows for the serious renovator that draw a fairly firm line regards who gets to exhibit. That keeps the quality high – not too many duplications of product and a real focus on the build.  Let’s explore both.

Home Interior Trade Shows
Homebuilding & Renovation Show NEC 21-24 March

Billed as a show showcasing self-build specialists, renovation experts and leading brands all under one roof, The Homebuilding & Renovating Show takes place from 21-24 March 2024 at the NEC, Birmingham.

We find this one of the very valuable home decor trade fairs where customers have a chance to meet a whole host of industry experts. There are informative seminars where you can ask advice and more. It also means we have the opportunity to showcase both our tried and trusted tiles as well as brand new collections. It is always great to chat to customers and gather feedback and also help with queries and more.

For us, exhibitions are as much about listening to customers latest requests as it is showcasing what we have to offer. It is your chance to ask us lots of questions, and we can offer insights into the latest trends and the latest tile technology as well as what to look out for when choosing tiles and the innovations that are shaping the industry.

This is a huge fair, with just about everything you could possibly need in the world of homebuilding. So it is well worth a visit. You can grab two free tickets by visiting our website – simply click the link here! www.thetileportfolio.co.uk.

Come and visit us! We are on Stand G120 and we’ve given an outline below of the kind of things you can expect to see from us at HBR 2024.

Build It Live - Bicester 8-9 June 2024

Our Stand at Build It Live in Bicester June 2023

Billed as The UK’s most practical and informative self build exhibition Build It Live takes place in the heart of Oxfordshire in the lovely village of Bicester at the Heritage Centre. We’ve attended the Build It Live exhibitions for a number of years now. In fact this will be our 4th Build It Live show. This is a great home decor trade fair – large enough to showcase everything you need if you are undertaking a new build or renovation and compact enough to get round absolutely everything in a day – or two if you prefer! It’s a super friendly show, and we love it. It’s well worth a visit and the airfield is such a beautiful setting it seems to make the whole experience a joy.

So, what will we be showcasing at both home interior trade shows? Here’s just a little flavour of what to expect!

Showcasing - Porcelains with warmer tones & woods

With warmer tones definitely making a comeback from an interiors perspective, we have some of the most beautiful tiles to showcase in 2024. Take our newly updated Ethos collection with some beautiful new tile additions like our Ethos Sand. With comforting sands, taupes and creams fast becoming the go-to we will also showcase our new Grace Sahara making that spa like feel definitely within reach. Plus with wood tiles ever more in demand – particularly for the bathroom – you can’t go wrong with our Season and Oakwood collections.

In addition, our beautiful Louis porcelain tiles will join us again. A firm favourite last year, these gorgeous parquet wood effect tiles are stunning.

Showcasing - Inside Outside Tiles

It’s one of our top tile trends for 2024 and has been steadily growing over the past few years. The trend for indoor outdoor living continues and we are connecting and opening up space like never before. We have many of our latest inside outside tile collections available to view at the show with porcelain tiles that work inside the home in 9mm thickness and 2cm thick tiles in an antislip finish for outside the home.

Unlike the rustic charm of flagstones, natural stone or slate, porcelain brings a crisp, clean, architectural feel to spaces making it easy to continue that clean, contemporary look outside. That makes porcelain perfect for contemporary spaces, renovations and new builds. You will have the opportunity to see just how inside outside porcelains can work together, the quality of our tiles and get advice on what’s best for your project.

Our exceptional collection of inside outside porcelain tiles feature thinner 9mm porcelains for inside and thicker 2cm porcelains for outside. Our brand new Fusion and Poise collections sit alongside our well-specified Alpine collection and our firm favourite, Ethos Shore. We’ve a host of tiles to pick from – and we’ve hand-picked these collections from Italian suppliers we know and trust – that means well-balanced shades, excellent quality and beautiful designs so you have the pick of the crop including the very latest designs as well as our tried and trusted collections.

Both home interior trade shows will showcase tiles from our Rustic tile portfolio. This year, we will be closely following a small renovation project featuring our rustic tiles from start finish. This lovely project is a converted stables and the owners have selected something a little more traditional. Watch our website and Instagram for updates!

Or if you want bolder still, Bloom may be just the ticket. Bloom is playful and fun and can be used on floors and walls. This is a tile that adds a little splash of colour in Olive Green, Russet Red or Oatmeal. Here pink and green are used to brilliant effect and the wood furniture picks up the blush tones too.
