There are a host of benefits to wooden effect tiles for your home and our collections are no exception. We’ve hand-picked a selection of tiles that cover a multitude of hues. These are tiles that are perfect for both traditional and modern developments.

This really is imitation without the limitation because wooden effect tiles can be used pretty much anywhere inside the home with ease.

In this blog we explore our latest wooden effect tiles, look at colour and finishes and find out more about the benefits of using a wood tile in your home.  So let’s begin with our sumptuous Season tile collection.

Season 1 1

Season Caramel wood tile collection including wood planks to the floor and co-ordinating wall tiles

Yes this really is porcelain. In the bathroom too! We agree, it is hard to tell the difference between our wooden effect tiles and real wood. But there are a couple of key differences. Firstly, unlike real timber, a wood tile in porcelain won’t bend or warp with moisture so you really can use wood in the bathroom. Secondly, these tiles are a cinch to clean and don’t need any ongoing maintenance – a mop and bucket will usually do the trick when cleaning.

Our Season wood tile collection is home to 7 shades each with 39 different patterns. The days of one or two patterns per tile are well behind us, so you don’t need to worry too much about pattern repeat even over large spans. Whether it’s our Season Grey and it’s cool tones or the warming notes of caramel, this is a tile collection has a unique finish where pattern and surface texture align to give the look and feel of real wood. The surface highlights the beautiful imperfections of wood with a soft hint of sheen and plays beautifully with light.

Co-ordinating wall tiles

What’s more our Season collection features two co-ordinating wall tiles that can used in conjuction with their porcelain wood tile counterparts – think Season wood tile planks on the floor and Season wood effect ceramic tiles to the wall. These beautiful wood effect wall tiles are bursting with amazing detail and design and both Caramel and Taupe are warm tones that also pair perfectly with some of our concrete effect tiles in warmer taupes and sands – just in case you wanted to create a different look!

Serenity wooden effect tiles

We introduced Serenity to our collections a while back and it has proven an absolute winner. In two sizes – a lovely large format 1510 x 240mm as well as a smaller size plank in 1215 x 195mm this collection has a couple of star colours in our eyes. The beautiful Serenity Cherry and Sienna are both rich in design and tone – with Cherry in particular also featuring charcoal notes to the deep design making it a perfect pairing for some of our marble effect tiles.

Then we have Serenity Straw. We love the hue of this – and it looks particularly wonderful in the larger format plank. It’s a paler tone than the former two colours and works brilliantly with woods, charcoals, greens and more.

If you are looking to go more towards grey tones then you can’t go far wrong with Serenity Taupe. You could almost call this Greige in colour – it is a lovely warm grey – and what’s more, Serenity is in a Soft Antislip finish making it great for bathrooms where you want a little extra slip resistance combined with ease of cleaning.

Oakwood wood tile collection

Oakwood is the newest addition to our wood effect tile portfolio. Housing a range of colours, Oakwood includes the wonderful Ebony that marries so well with our marble effect tiles – just look at how well this works with our Tencha Green polished marble. Available in the larger 1510 x 240mm format, Oakwood also includes two large format wall tiles that are specifically designed to combine with this porcelain floor tile collection.

You can use a wood effect ceramic wall tile like our Oakwood Honey & Pecan shown here either horizontally or vertically to striking effect. These tiles add tone and vital texture to spaces – any interiors expert will tell you to combine the rough with the smooth in design and a high quality, well designed wall tile will not only add depth to your design, it will also bring warmth. These wooden effect tiles for walls are perfect for creating stunning feature walls. The undulations in the surface also play beautifully with light.

Vibe - a very rustic wood tile

And last but not least, Vibe. This is a tile that is jam packed with rustic charm. The variation in colour and pattern across this collection is amazing. In a lovely 1215 x 195mm size, Vibe wood effect planks combine cutting edge technology to create a tile that echoes with all the charm of worn, aged wood along with rectified tile edges ie straight edges, for minimal grout lines. The wonderful array of designs or faces across this collection means you have combined tones of ebony, caramel notes and lighter taupe tones whilst the tiles are also brought to life with the amazing detail in the design.
